About Me

I am Anna Bellka. As my mother likes to call me. Currently a student at university, studying Multimedia Journalism. And I'll let you in on a little secret... Whoever said university was easy... WAS LYING. I have two blogs: One is an online diary type thing, one is a showcase of my journalistic work to date. Please feel free to take a look.

7 am on a MONDAY?

My alarm went off bright and early today. It was amazing. For the first time ever. After 2 out of 7 alarms went off I actually got up and out of bed.

That was mainly because I had an assignment due for 12pm today (which I have now finished and got some time to burn before uni - Wahey!) but also because I am on a detox. Yes, you heard. D-E-T-O-X.

I am a woman on a mission - in the words of Gabriella Cilmi. I am determined to stop drinking, stop eating late night kebabs (it is really starting to show and I am NOT happy) and most of all go to uni and hand in assignments on time.

Yeah yeah, so I did it the morning it was actually due in but ahh well - our little secret eh?

Anyway, my day so far has involved talking to some people who maintain the building I am staying in, speaking to a woman who was a little camera shy and then meeting a former convict. He seemed really pleased when I asked him on his views of convicts having contact with the outside world. NOT.

It feels rather strange being up and awake at this time. I know, I know I am mega lazy but the world seems so different. I've met people I wouldn't normally meet. I can see the clouds and the blue sky. I can see people starting work.

It feels surreal. Kinda like I'm Anna in Wonderland and everything is a bit skew-whiff. For the first time in months I am looking out of my window and can actually see morning rush hour. It's strange. Anyway gotta go. Cheshire cat is waiting :)
